GREATER HAMPSTEAD HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION GHHA encourages
citizen participation in community
planning, and unity
Mission Statement: GHHA was founded near the beginning of the new millennium to enhance the quality of life within the Greater Hampstead Area by encouraging citizen interest and involvement in planning and decision making as they affect the well being and development of the community, (physical, social, economic, environmental and institutional) to foster community spirit through membership interaction and to facilitate the exchange of information. Its membership is made up of nine homeowner associations: Forest Sound, Washington Acres, Pecan Grove, Topsail Greens, Olde Point, Hideaway Shores, Belvedere, Castle Bay, and Coastal Plantation, representing approximately 4,000 Hampstead area residents. During 2008, the GHHA supported numerous important priorities identified by our member organizations. These efforts included:
The voting members of the GHHA board of directors include one representative appointed by each member homeowner association. In addition, up to 5 non-voting citizen advisory members may be appointed by the board to serve. The board meets monthly approximately 10 times a year and a general meeting for all of our homeowner association board members is held annually. Membership is open to any homeowners association located within the Hampstead area. Contact with your board member is encouraged. The GHHA board and our nine member homeowner associations believe that residents working together can build the quality-of-life we desire for ourselves and our families.Access to Information: Pender
